About Me

Dear friend,

Hello! My name is Joe. I am a sophomore student at Saint Louis University. I identify as a gay, gender questioning person, and my pronouns are he/him/his or they/them theirs. I study English and Political Science, and I hope to be a future educator, lawyer, and activist. I want to integrate my passion for the LGBTQ+ community into my future endeavors and careers.

When I was four or five years old, I remember watching two boys kissing on T.V. Since that day, I have always known I’ve been different. I didn’t have a label for who I was or what I was experiencing, but I just knew I didn’t quite fit in with those around me. As I grew up and became more aware of my sexuality and gender, I learned so many necesssary and valuable lessons that shaped me into who I am today.

As an LGBTQ+ college student, I know and understand many of the difficulties, joys, and experiences that come with being queer on a college campus. Thus, I am writing this blog to try and help other LGBTQ+ college students navigate their way through their own college experience. I hope to be a resource, a guide, and most importantly, a friend.

Please contact me if you want advice on a specific topic of interest or concern, or if you simply want to chat with me. I am more than willing to help,

Love, Your Gay Godparent,
